Somer Karoo

Frai (Claudi Lubbe) is an artist from South Africa’s evocative Garden Route. At 30, and a mother of three, she took a leap in 2025 from part-time creator to full-time artist, fully embracing her life in paint and color. Her work dances between landscape and emotion—rhythmic, expressive interpretations of South Africa’s natural beauty, infused with movement, light, and a sense of wonder.

While her paintings are inspired by the land around her, they are less about representation and more about response: a visual echo of gratitude and awe for the world she inhabits. Frai’s guiding phrase, “through the hands of the Maker,”reflects her belief that her art flows from a place of grace, connection, and reverence for creation itself.
